The Office of the Taxpayer Advocate (OTA) is a unit within the District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue dedicated to ensuring that all taxpayers are treated in a fair and equitable manner and in accordance with the District’s Taxpayer Bill of Rights.
The Office of the Taxpayer Advocate (OTA) works with the public to offer individual assistance, provide outreach and education to the public, stakeholders and OTR, and engage in systemic advocacy.
